BE PATIENT WITH YOURSELF!

BE PATIENT WITH YOURSELF!

Hello [subscriber:firstname | default:Beloved],

In my exhortation today, I would like to encourage you to be patient with yourself and not to be in a hurry in life. It is important to know how the Lord works. He did not create Man (man and woman) perfect from birth. God favours the evolution of people and things to their perfect stature.

Look at Man. He talks, he walks on two legs. The potential to walk or talk exists within him at birth, but as a baby he is not capable of acting on it. As a baby, he needs to be fed and cared for because he is weak. Any parent who expects a baby to talk to them, to go running with them, would be judged as an abnormal person. Parents must be patient to see their children grow up; they must bring them up so that, over the months and years, the babies learn to express themselves, to walk, to eat by themselves, and so on.

When Jesus, the Son of the Most High God, came to earth, although He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, He was born, like all human being, in the form of a baby, in the town of Bethlehem. Here is what the Bible says about Him in Isaiah 53:1-2: ” Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground….”. And yet, His mission was to save mankind (Isaiah 53:4-5).

When He was born, Herod almost killed Him when he learned from the Wise men that the King of the Jews had just been born (Matthew 2:1-15). “When they (the wise men) had gone, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, ‘Arise, take the child and his mother, flee to Egypt and stay there until I speak to you, for Herod will seek the child to destroy him. So, Joseph got up, took the child and his mother by night and fled into Egypt“, reveal the Holy Scriptures (Matthew 2:13). Joseph and Mary could have said: “Jesus is the Messiah, He is the Son of God and He is God. Herod can do nothing against Him!” But it was God Himself who sent His messenger to ask them to flee for Jesus’ life! Let that be a lesson to us, beloved.

The Bible says very little about the life of Jesus from 0 to 30 years of age, because we had to be patient and wait for God’s time for the Master to manifest himself as the Messiah! At the age of 12, Luke 2:42-52 tells us, Joseph and Mary believed that the little child had gone astray, so they set out to find Him. “After three days, they found Him in the temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions” (Luke 2:46). Jesus was not trying to teach the teachers of the law, the scribes, and other Pharisees in the temple, but He was asking questions and listening to them… to learn, quite simply. “Then He went down with them (with His parents) to Nazareth, and He was subject to them. His mother kept all these things in her heart. And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and grace before God and men,” emphasizes the Word of God in Luke 2:51-52.

Jesus was in no hurry to begin His mission. While His cousin John the Baptist was already preaching to crowds (Matthew 3:1) and baptizing, Jesus was waiting. He waited for God’s time. “Jesus was about thirty years old when He began His ministry,” says Luke 3:23. Thirty years, Beloved!

The Lord has given you many promises. Did He say that you must run a real estate operation? That you must build a factory or schools? That you will get married? That you will be a great singer? That you will become a pastor? Take the time to observe those who have gone before you in the field in which God wants you to develop. Do not be impatient to get started! Build yourself up, learn from the failures and successes of others!

Impatience is a spirit that the enemy uses to push people to show off too soon what they will be tomorrow. If you want to shine too soon, you will burn to a crisp! Be patient, take the time to grow up, to reach the maturity you need to successfully fulfil your destiny!

If the Bible tells us that Man was created to dominate (Genesis 1:26), this implies that there is a victory to be won over adversity in order to dominate. The “Herods” are watching to destroy you if you reveal yourself before your time.

An inheritance gained hastily at the beginning will not be blessed at the end.“, warns the Word of God in Proverbs 20:21. So be patient, let God reveal you in His time and you will see His glory!

May God bless you!
