Hello [user:firstname | default:Beloved],
Maybe there’s a persistent situation or a problem in your life for which you don’t find a solution. Is it sickness ? Unemployment ? A longstanding single status ? The need for deliverance ? Failure ? The unbelief of a beloved refusing to give his/her life to Christ ? You pray, fast, do all-nights, but nothing changes. What an obstinate situation !
In Luc 18,1-8, Jesus talks about a woman who experienced an obstinate situation which lasted for a longtime; thus, she was waiting for a trial decision. The judge who had to ruke in her favour was refusing to do so. The Bible says that this judge did not fear God nor had regard for anyone. He was not even moved by days that wore on.
But this was without reckoning with a specific character trait of this woman: determination ! She became tenacious, before a persistent situation and did not give the judge any rest.
I can just imagine this situation in our time. The woman would be following him everywhere asking for justice : at the red light, in front of his house door, in front of his office, at the supermarket, at the gym, etc.… Since he refused, she became tenacious and determined, so much so that the judge also became weary and she ended up getting what she wanted.
What is your attitude before the obstinate situations in your life ? The Bible says that the Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force (Matthew 11:12). You need to be violent towards yourself and towards your situation, be determined to put an end to the problem that keeps you oppressed and overwhelmed. Don’t give up, fight this situation relentlessly until it yields completely, lets go and then the victory will be yours.
The determination to be tenacious before an obstinate situation is a sign of faith, says the Lord in verse 7. Cry to your Lord day and night, and He promises to work in your favour. “And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them ? ”, the Bible says.
Pray with me: « Lord, give me the faith and determination to continuously cry out to you day and night. Holy Spirit, I need your support to persevere and not give up, no matter what the obstacles are. Thank you Lord, in the name of Jesus, amen ! ».
May God bless you [user:firstname | default:Beloved]
