Change the record, declare God’s word and you will overcome this obstinate situation !

Hello [user:firstname | default:Beloved],

What is the obstinate situation persisting in your life? is it sickness? unemployment? celibacy? The search for a child ? Poverty? Do you want your spouse or a beloved to become born again? is it a persisting sin? Is it The Depression? When confronted to such situation, what do you tell yourself ? What is the prevailing thought of your heart with regards to it ?

You know, there is a woman in the Bible who endured for more than a decade and obstinate situation. This is the woman who had a flow of blood for 12 years. One day, she heard about Jesus, but she had difficulty accessing the Master because he was surrounded by a huge crowd. It pressed him on all sides, because everyone sought to access him. Unimpressed by this crowd, this woman did everything to sneak up to the Master and all the while she said to herself: “If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.” She braved the crowd, managed to touch the hem of His garment and was healed instantly! Question: What was critical for the fulfillment of the miracle? Simply What she was saying to herself!

What do you tell yourself when you are confronted to your situation? Doesn’t the Bible say “Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.” (Joel 3 : 10)   ? The Holy Spirit wants you to change your internal record.  Stop lamenting, saying “I am a poor wretched sinner” Or “I hope that my situation is going to change, and that I will be healed”…  But tell yourself “I will overcome this disease”, “Silver and gold  belong to my Father, I am rich”, “God is my Father, He takes care of me”, “I am winner”, “I am holy and I walk in holiness”,. Do not wait for the Sunday service to make this kind of declaration. I’m talking about what you have to say to yourself when you walk on the street, when you drive your car or are in the taxi, trainor the subway, or when you are lying on your bed.

Once you change your internal record, I will invite you to go further: Declare! Yes, start by giving a name to your situation. In  John 11: 11-13, Christ gave the name “Sleep” to Lazarus’ situation, in order to take in the psychological, spiritual, emotional and even physical ascendancy over the reality He was confronted with.

God gave man the power to name right from the Garden of Eden. What name do you give to your situation? The name you give to the circumstances of your life, gives you either to be dominated or enables them to have dominion over you. Do you want to defeat them? If yes, then wealth to the current situation of poverty you are going through; call barrenness “birth”, your celibacy “marriage”, failure “success”, etc… and  you will see the accomplishment of what you declared.

“Life and death are in the power of the tongue” Says the Word of God in Proverbs 18 : 21. Those who overcome obstinate situations are able to do so because of what they say to within themselves and by declaring it outloud. Therefore change your internal record, practice the declaration of things you want to see happen and overcome the obstinate situation challenging your faith!  VICTORY will then be your portion!

May God bless you [user:firstname | default:Beloved]
