Cultivate the art of being gracious to people !

Hello Beloved,

On this day, I would like to exhort you on the art of being generous to others. The Bible says in Luke 2: 52 (BBE) “And Jesus was increasing in wisdom and in years, and in grace before God and men” Yes! He grew in favor, not just before God but also before men.

First of all, what is grace? It is an undeserved favor. For example, grace makes you harvest way beyond anything you have sown. One of the keys to activating grace before men is revealed in Proverbs 18:16   : “A man’s gift makes room for him, And brings him before great men.” (New King James Version). “A gift opens doors for the one who gives it and brings him into the presence of great people.” says God’s Word version of the same scripture.

This scripture simply means that when you cultivate the art of giving gifts to people around you, doing them good, it opens doors for you and gives you access to “great people”, high ranked people who have decision-making power and who will favor you at an appointed time.

The present or the gift as specified in our scripture is not deserved by its beneficiary, otherwise it would be like a salary! When your employee has worked for the salary of 50,000 CFA francs stipulated by the contract he signed with you, giving him that exact amount, is simply equals to paying him his salary. In other words, it is what he deserved to have. However, you could also surprise him one day by giving him as a gift, 300,000 FCFA. Does this amount surprise you? Do you think it’s too much? If you are surprised and think it’s exaggerated for this employee (because you think he does not deserve to have this much) to receive six times his salary as a gift, know also that God will act in the same way with you. And it will be difficult for you to experience superabundant divine grace. I’m not asking you to do this every month, lest he believes that his salary has increased, but I encourage you to do this kind of action sporadically, when you have the means.

If you act this way, the Bible says that it will make room for you and give you access to great people, the very ones you thought were inaccessible. God will use them to grant you a contract you did not expect or to grant you the promotion to a particular post or to resolve a persistent problem for which you had been praying for so long.

Learn to do good, give gifts around you. Has your mechanic finished repairing your car? Surprise him by giving him more than his bill stipulates! Is a beggar approaching you to ask for a coin? Surprise him by giving him a bank note that he is not expecting at all! Do not consider what you are losing but look up rather to the joy that you will bring forth in the life of the beneficiary of your present.

By so doing, you will increase in grace before men. It is then that God will grant you the favor of high ranking people, when you least expect it. God would then have surprised you by showing you what grace is: undeserved favor!

May God bless you Beloved

Do not turn to idols or make for yourselves molten gods; I am the LORD your God “.
