Hello [user:firstname | default:Beloved],
I would urge you to adopt the right attitude when facing many challenges. It is important that you address the problem directly, that you command it to disappear from your life and give way to the solution. “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says” (Mark 11:23). When you are facing the mountain, open your mouth and command! It has no place in your life!
Israel, when facing the giant Goliath, was constantly running away from this Philistine who was relentlessly defying the army of the great God. “And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him and were dreadfully afraid. So the men of Israel said: have you seen this man who has come up? Surely he has come up to defy Israel”, says the Bible in 1 Samuel 17:25. Israel was constantly speaking about this problem. By contemplating Goliath’s stature for many days and by hearing the challenge he threw at them every day, the fear was only increasing among God’s people. But when David came, he rather said, “who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?” (1 Samuel 17:26c). Determined to defeat this enemy of Israel, unlike the people, David decided to say to the Philistine: “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel” (1 Samuel 17:45-46). David had spoken to the problem! By his word, he announced how Goliath would end and God set up the special tactics for David’s fight against Goliath. With just a sling and a stone in his hand, David defeated Goliath and fulfilled his word.
When he was facing the storm, Jesus threatened the wind and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm (Mark 4:35-39).
What is the stubborn situation that stands before you like a mountain? Which storm are you contending with? Tell the problem, tell the situation, tell the storm how much more powerful and higher your God is in order to overcome it! Don’t focus on the magnitude of the challenge you are facing, don’t cry anymore! Don’t complain anymore, Beloved! Your God has given you control over this challenge (Luke 10:19). Command the disease, the unemployment, the poverty, the long-term celibacy, the infertility, disbelief, etc. In short, whatever the name of this mountain, command it to move and be casted into the sea! It will be done according to your word, in the name of Jesus! Amen!
