Hallow Jesus with your life !

Hallow Jesus with your life !

Hello [user:firstname | default:Beloved],

In Acts 19:13-16, the Bible tells us about the misadventure of seven itinerant Jewish exorcists, the sons of Sceva, who tried to drive out demons in the name of Jesus, whom Paul preaches. But the evil spirit answered them: “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?” (Acts 19:15).”Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of […] naked and wounded.” the Bible tells us in Acts 19:16.

Although they used the name of Jesus before whom all knees bow, these young people could not overcome the evil spirits. Instead, they were beaten up in a way that they would never forget. Why couldn’t they experience the power of Jesus’ name? Simply because their life as exorcists did not hallow the name of Jesus!

When you pray, say Father! Hallowed be thy name (…)”, the Bible recommends us  in Luke 11:2, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you” , says the Lord Jesus again in John 16:23b. However, many children of God use the name of Jesus to pray. Unfortunately, they do not get an answer because their prayers are ineffective, their Christian life does not hallow the name of Jesus.

Beloved, praying to the Father in the name of Jesus is not a simple end-of-prayer formula. You must, of course, weigh in your heart the full meaning of what you are saying. But even more so, you must hallow the name of Jesus in your daily life. This must be your lifestyle as a child of God. Imagine if a son of a Head of State leads a despicable life in society. Though named after his father, his lifestyle would close doors to him because he is breaking the laws of the Republic!

As the son/daughter of the Most High, your life must honour and glorify the name of Jesus. Your daily walk should be a sign of reverence to the name of Jesus, your Lord and Savior. This implies that you must follow God’s commandments and walk in sanctification. “The nations also will know that I, the Lord, sanctify Israel, when My sanctuary is in their midst forevermore” says the Bible in Ezekiel 37:28.

Therefore hallow the name of Jesus in your daily Christian life, you will then see your prayers answered and you will experience the glory of the Lord.

May God bless you [user:firstname | default:Beloved]
