Hello [subscriber:firstname | default:Beloved],
I would like to ask you a question today: do you measure the power and greatness of the name of the Lord Jesus Christ? The Bible says in Philippians 2:9-10: “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth”. How much faith do you have in this name?
“And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all”, Peter told the crowd that was amazed to see a man born crippled recovering the use of his legs after a prayer made in the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 3:16). The paralysis bowed down before the Almighty name of Jesus!
Many Christians no longer experience the power of this name. The name of Jesus Christ is so readily available to them that they have come to trivialize it. Some go so far as to use it wrongly, even joking with this name! Many have become like the sons of Sceva who, as the Bible tells us in Acts 19:13-16, wanted to use the name of Jesus without knowing it and evil spirits overpowered them! They had this unfortunate experience because they did not hallow this mighty name!
It is important for every child of God to permanently hallow and honor the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and to realize its supreme value. It is also important to have an unshakeable faith in this name, no matter what challenges one faces.
The Bible emphasizes that in the name of Jesus, every knee bows (Philippians 2:10). I mean every knee! Therefore, know that the disease, even the one declared incurable by a doctor, bows its knees before the name of Jesus. Are unemployment, celibacy, barrenness, problems in your home, poverty, etc. persisting in your life? Is it a pandemic, a war or a storm or some kind of evil that threatens nations? All of these situations are called to bend their knees before the name of Jesus, for the name of Jesus is exalted above the name of every situation.
“(…) Whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved”, the Holy Scriptures say in Acts 2:21. Yes beloved, you will be saved from the situation you are experiencing if you raise the name of Jesus Christ above it.
Therefore, do not stop believing in this wonderful and glorious name, hallow it, honor it, proclaim it, lift it up, and you will experience its almighty power!
May God bless you!
