LEARN TO ACCEPT THE HEAVENLY FATHER’S CORRECTION!

Hello [subscriber:firstname | default:Beloved],

I would like to share with you a scripture from Hebrews 12:6:For whom the Lord loves He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives”. If you have received Christ in your life as your Lord and Savior, and consider yourself a son/daughter of God, you should keep in mind that like any good father, there will come a time in your life when the Heavenly Father will chastise you, if necessary. So, when you face certain trials in your life, it is important not to panic, not to murmur or complain, but to seek the face of the Lord to know the cause of the situation. Indeed, God can certainly lead His child into the wilderness to speak to his heart (Hosea 2:14); however, He can allow you to cross the wilderness to chastise you, let me repeat it, if necessary. This is a sign of love for you (Proverbs 13:24).

In this regard, I remember that when I was a student, I got sick one day and it lasted for a while. I didn’t understand and pleaded with God to heal me. I was surprised to hear God, in His mercy, rebuke me: “Mohammed”, He said, “Look at your room, look at the state of your room. Look, your trousers are over here, your shirt over there, and there, your socks, your papers are scattered…look at the state of your room! Also look at the way you eat all the time and you eat anything! Don’t you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit? ”. I will not hide from you, beloved, that I was surprised by this reaction of my heavenly Father, as I was convinced that the most important thing for Him was primarily my heart. “Can you receive a VIP in such a mess? So why do you receive Me in such a messy room”, the Lord said.

I got up, embarrassed, picked up everything I had left here and there for weeks and tidied up my room. From then on, I began to control what I ate. I had forgotten that my room was the meeting place between Him and me! I had dared, all this time, to invoke His presence in an unacceptable mess: it was a disgrace to Him. I then repented and the Lord healed me. How great is His love!

Yes, Beloved, it is important for every child of God to know how to accept and endure the chastisement of the Heavenly Father. “(…)  God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten?” says the Bible in Hebrews 12:7. “But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?” say the Holy Scriptures (Hebrews 12:8-9).

If God sees that because of sin, your sanctification is being undermined, He may allow you to lose your job, break up with your fiancé(e), go to jail, fail an exam, get sick, etc., and then He may allow you to go to prison. This is to get you back on the right track. “They chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness” (Hebrews 12 :10b). He is still a God filled with love and mercy!

Do not despise the Father’s divine correction, but rather learn to accept it and learn from it (Deuteronomy 8:5, 2 Samuel 7:14). It is also a way to honor Him “(…)  “The rod and rebuke give wisdom”, says the Word of God in Proverbs 29:15. “Now no [a]chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it”, also says the Bible in Hebrews 12 :11. Accept the Father’s correction for your own good!

May God bless you!
