Hello Beloved,
“Do they not go astray who devise evil? But mercy and truth belong to those who devise good”, says the Bible in Proverbs 14:22. When, because of the blows of life and the wickedness of humans, you spend your time meditating, repeating in your mind the evil you have suffered or the difficult situation you are going through, it leads you astray and extinguishes the divine flame in you.
What do you meditate on the most? On the house charges you are not able to handle? On your persistent situation as a single person? On that barrenness you’ve been praying for for years? On the unemployment you’re currently experiencing? On all that money you lost in the investment you made? On the betrayal of your spouse or loved one you trusted so much? “Remember my affliction and roaming, the wormwood and the gall. My soul still remembers and sinks within me…” it is written in Lamentations 3:19-20. Know that if you meditate more on evil, it will poison you and create in you the bitterness that deprives you of God’s grace (Hebrews 12:15). Meditating on evil leads you astray and has consequences on the way you act, on the actions you perform and on the decisions you make, which you are likely to regret. The enemy knows that if your heart is good, you will be kindled by divine fire to do God’s work and to do good around you. For this reason, he will target your heart to sow bitterness in you in order to encourage you to meditate on the wickedness of men and on the bad circumstances of life.
“This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope. Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness”, says the Bible in Lamentations 3:21-23. Make the decision to meditate on the goodness of God and on the goodness shown by people around you. For example, choose to focus on the qualities of your loved ones who hurt you, not on their shortcomings. Meditate especially on the divine promises for you concerning your glorious future.
This new way of thinking will encourage you to act with kindness and faithfulness (Proverbs 14:22), to remain attached to the Lord and to persevere in prayer. Then your God will heal the wounds of your heart and show you His glory.
May God bless you Beloved
