Ephesians 1: 3 teaches us that God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, has blessed us with all kinds of spiritual blessings in the heavenly places in Christ. This scripture means that we are blessed in every areas of our life. But how do we materialize on earth these spirituals blessings located in the heavenly places?
In the prayer of ” Our Father ” we say, “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). Yes, the will of God is that, that which is in the heavenly places be manifested in our lives on the earth. And, the activating factor is prayer.
Fervent prayer causes the supernatural to occur on earth. Prayer is not about giving information to God on your needs – He already knows everything you need (Matthew 6: 8). Rather, it is the means of connecting to God to activate the heavenly blessings on earth. For example, if you want to withdraw money from your bank account and do not respect the existing protocol, you cannot have access to the money. The same applies for spiritual blessings in heavenly places. They are yours but only prayer can activate them on the earth! Prayer recharges you spiritually and enables God to download the spiritual blessings into your life.
If you will, I will liken prayer to the power source of a smartphone, containing several applications. You can only download or use the applications if the battery of the device is charged! Applications such as ” solving my marital problems ” or ” healing from cancer ‘‘or ” victory in a court case ” can only work well if your ” heavenly phone ” is connected and has been charged by being connected to the source of divine energy.
However, some applications require more energy than others and the same applies to some prayer topics. Solving a tough situation does not require the same spiritual energy as praying for a meal before eating. You have to spend time in prayer for though cases. “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” (James 5: 16b). So, Beloved, do not stop praying for your blessings to materialize. Organize your time with God. Learn to wake up at dawn to fellowship with God as Jesus did. Imitate Him, if you want to live the divine supernatural in your life! Learn to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17) with your mind connected to God at all times.
Often, the physical body is busy or exhausted by the many daily occupations. But do not let the flesh control you! Recharge yourself with fervent prayer, download and use the apps you need! Yes, prayer gives you strength to stand firm in times of need (Luke 21:36). So, beloved, pray, pray and pray! And you shall see the glory of God. He hears your prayers!
