Hello Beloved,
As He taught us on the Lord’s prayer, the Lord Jesus told us to confess our sins. “Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who have trespass against us» Says the Bible in Matthew 6 : 12. This recommendation is important all the more so because our sins erect a wall between God and us. This wall hinders the answers of our prayers. Indeed, it is written in Isaiah 59 : 1-2 : « Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear. »
If you have received Jesus in your life as your Lord and Saviour (if you haven’t done it yet, I strongly urge you to do it so that you will be saved), know, Beloved, that as a son / daughter of God, you are holy as your heavenly Father is holy (1 Peter 1: 15-16). You are no longer counted among the sinners but rather among the saints (Leviticus 20 : 26) ; you must no longer live in sin but walk in holiness, if you want to see GOD move in your life (Hebrews 12 : 14).
The enemy deceives true Christians by showing them in their environment many examples of false Christians, false servants of God and pagans who seem to thrive in many areas of their lives although they lead a sinful life. « Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.… »Says the Bible in 1 Corinthians 6 : 9-10. Do not be deceived!
In your prayers, ask the Father to search your heart. « Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. » as the Psalmist said in Psalm 139 : 23. Is it lying, anger, irritation, adultery, sexual immorality (sexual intercourse outside marriage) homosexuality, cheating, jealousy, unfulfilled promises, robbery, lack of forgiveness, etc. that’s separating you from GOD? When the Holy Spirit reveals to you your sins, your faults, your failures, your frustrations, and if He convicts you of sin, then, confess, repent and turn away from this evil. « He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy. », says the Bible in Proverbs 28 : 13. Know that if you ask the Father to forgive you your sins, He is faithful and just to forgive you your sins and to cleanse you from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1-9).
Sin prevents the fulfilment of your prayers (John 9 : 31) and deprives you of the glory of God (Romans 3 : 23). Do you want to see God move? Beloved, walk in sanctification and you will see God manifesting gloriously in all areas of your life.
