Rise up from this shock and move on !

Rise up from this shock and move on !

Hello Beloved,

Did it ever happen to you to receive such a shock that you feel like time has stopped ? It might be the loss of a loved one, the loss of a job, treason of a closed one, divorce, a broken engagement, etc. How can one recover from such a shock ?

It is not always easy but it possible by God’s grace. The Bible gives us examples of valiant heroes who overcame such trials. Let’s take a closer look at Joseph: beloved son of his father, he was sold into slavery, not by strangers who kidnapped him but by his own brothers. When in Potiphar’s house, as things were going smoothly, he found himself victim of Mrs. Potiphar’s covetousness who finally accused him of attempted rape. In prison, as he helped a fellow inmate, that inmate, despite his promise to plead in favor of Joseph when with the king, forgot about him for two years. But nowhere does the Bible mention that Joseph was in a depressive state, or bitter or having a pity party. Was he sold by his brothers ? At Potiphar’s, he never stopped enterprising and being excellent in his work, despite the circumstances. In prison, victim of an injustice ? He devoted himself to working as the person in charge of the detainees, position that the warden entrusted him with. Genesis 40:6-7 shows us that he even cared about the state of mind of his co-detainees. Didn’t he have reasons to withdraw and be depressed ? He sure did ! Despite that, he rose above these unfortunate circumstances of life.

There is “A time to weep, And a time to laugh; A time to mourn, And a time to dance”, says Ecclesiastes 3:4. What emotional shock did you have ?

Cry if you must, mourn for some time about that unfortunate circumstance then dry your tears and rise up to move forward. God put both eyes in front and not one eye on the back of your head, certainly to tell you that you must move forward. We can sometimes look back but not always. We can look at where we are coming from to better jump. Beloved, move on, in Jesus !

Forget what is behind and reach forward to those things which are ahead (Philippians 3:13b). Don’t try to revolt against yourself and even less God. If He kept you alive despite the blows that you suffered in life, it means that He is not done with you and still has big things to accomplish with you.

Your God is with you. Strengthen yourself up and take courage ! Stand up, beloved, and move on !

May God bless you.

May God bless youBeloved
