Stand on the Rock and you will see the glory of God !

Hello Beloved,

The Bible tells us that Moses had a degree of intimacy with God that his entourage did not have (Numbers 12: 6-8). God spoke to him as a friend (Exodus 33:11a).  Moses experienced miracles and wonders but because he was always thirsting for greater intimacy with the Lord, he asked the Lord: “Show me Your glory” (Exodus 33:18). The Lord answered Moses: “(…) Here is a place by Me, and you shall stand on the rock. So it shall be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by” (Exodus 33:21-22).

To see the glory of God, Moses had to stand, not on a rock but on The Rock. Did Moses have to stand on a large stone of some kind? No, “(…) That Rock was Christ”, reveals the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 10:4. Moses needed first to stand on the Rock, and then God hid him in the cleft, to let His glory pass by.

Just like Moses, God also wants you to see His glory.  He wants a deeper intimacy with you; but this can only happen when you stand on the Rock that is Christ. In Him alone is the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). Christ is “the Word that became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth”, says John 1:14. It is also said that “His name is called The Word of God” in Revelation 19:13. As you read the Holy Scriptures every day, meditate upon them and apply what the Scriptures recommend, you will get to know the Lord more and more and grow closer to Him and become more intimate with him! Then He will show His glory to you in all areas of your life!

“(…) Whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock (The Rock)...”, says the Lord Jesus in Matthew 7:24-25. What will shake your fellowship, your intimacy with Christ if you stand on the Rock that He is?”…Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?” (Romans 8:35). No!!!

Then, by relying on the Word that is the Rock, Christ, by putting it into practice, you will see your spiritual life anchored on solid foundations that nothing can shake, ” “This is the thing which the Lord commanded you to do, and the glory of the Lord will appear to you.”, says the Holy Scripture in Leviticus 9:6.

May God bless you Beloved

 My Bible Scriptures

     Numbers 12:6-8

“Then He said, hear now My words: if there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream. Not so with My servant Moses; He is faithful in all My house. I speak with him face to face, even plainly,[a] and not in [b]dark sayings; and he sees the form of the Lord (…)”.

      Exodus 33:11a

“So the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend”.

  1 Corinthians 10:1-4

“Brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea, all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, all ate the same spiritual food, and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ”.

        Romans 8:35

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

          Psalms 18:46

The Lord lives! Blessed be my Rock! Let the God of my salvation be exalted”.
