Hello Beloved,
“Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven”, says the Bible in Matthew 18:19.
How many things have you tried to get from your heavenly Father? This is a scripture from God’s word that gives you a recipe for success: all you have to do is agree with a person on a given prayer request and ask the Father for anything and He will grant it to you! What a powerful word!
In Genesis 11:1-8, the Lord tells us about a project that the people on the earth had decided to undertake. They resolved to build “a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens” in order to make a name for themselves lest they be “scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth”. The Bible tells us that “The Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. And the Lord said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them” (Genesis 11:5-6). The Lord knew that with the agreement they had, they would succeed in their project. So He prevented them from doing so by confusing their language. But this scripture from the Bible demonstrates the power of agreement in prayer.
In this regard, three elements are needed. First of all, you have to be the same people and have the same project: look around you: if, for example, you are looking for a job, there is surely someone in your environment who has the same challenge as you and you will thus form the “people of job seekers”, this being the common project that you would like to submit to the Father. The process is the same if you are looking for healing, greater intimacy with the Lord, etc. Whatever the challenge you face, there is surely a Christian in your community or environment who has almost the same challenge as you and to whom the Spirit of God can lead you. Agree in prayer with this person and pray together with him/her to the Father to obtain what you are asking for. If you are married, then your ideal prayer partner would be your spouse. Secondly, it is important that you agree on the projects to be submitted to the Lord so that prayer can bear fruit.
In the end, being the same people is not enough. Thirdly, we must also speak the same language. The language that must bind you, your prayer partner and you, is the language of the Kingdom of Heaven and the Word of God on which your prayers must be based.
Beloved, what is your challenge? Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, find a prayer partner with whom you will agree in prayer in the face of this challenge. “Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor” says the Bible in Ecclesiastes 4:9. If together, by mutual agreement, you ask for something of any kind, it will be granted to you by our Heavenly Father. Seize this promise and believe in God’s faithfulness!
One chases a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, says the Bible in Deuteronomy 32:30. Together, you and your prayer partner are stronger. This way, you will win more victories!
May God bless you Beloved
