Hello Beloved,
I would like to share with you a biblical scripture from Galatians 6:9 : “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart”. To do good is to show kindness, to demonstrate love.
What causes a person to stop doing good? The main reason is the increase of evil. Indeed, “But know this, that in the last days [a]perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good”, says the Word of God in 2 Timothy 3:1-3. It is not easy at all to continue to do good to someone when, in return, you do not reap their gratitude; even worse, you reap evil, wickedness, slander, contempt and you get disappointed, hurt, and wounded from this situation.
The Bible warns us in this regard: “and because lawlessness shall prevail, the love of the most shall grow cold”, it is written in Matthew 24:12 (Darby version). Despite all this, God urges you not to grow weary of doing good and showing love. Doing the opposite would displease the Lord. Despite the bumps of life and the wrongs you are suffering, keep loving your enemies! Don’t stop helping others! Don’t stop visiting the sick and prisoners! Keep praying for your Pastor and your church! Keep on doing God’s work and keep investing for the Kingdom of God! Don’t be weary! Do not change your attitude, Beloved! Don’t try to isolate yourself! Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58). In due course, you will reap what you sow!
May God bless you Beloved
