When in your walk with the Lord, you go across a wilderness, that symbolizes trials, difficult moments. It is important not to panic, murmur or complain, but seek the face of the Lord to know the cause of that situation. It is true that God can lead His child into the wilderness to speak to his heart (Hosea 2:14). However, although it is also true that a trial can occur because of ignorance, know also that a trial can come from sin.
« Now there was a famine in the days of David for three years, year after year; and David inquired of the Lord. And the Lord answered, “It is because of Saul and his bloodthirsty house, because he killed the Gibeonites », says the Bible in (2 Samuel 21 :1). It was by seeking the face of God that David had the revelation about the origin of this trial: a sin had been committed by King Saul against the Gibeonites and a covenant had been broken! Atonement had to be made for God to be appeased the country (2 Samuel 21:14).
I told you recently: a few years ago, the Lord revealed to me the cause of the long period of unemployment I was facing: I had disrespected my father seven years earlier, without even realizing it. So, the trial I knew was due to sin! I repented and asked my father for forgiveness one Saturday and the next Monday I found a job.
Another example: peace had become a “rare commodity” in the home of one of my spiritual daughters: disagreement with her husband, infidelity of the latter, intrusion of her mother-in-law into the marriage etc. By seeking the face of the Lord, He finally made her realize that she was not always speaking in the right way to her husband and that she had to change the way she spoke to him. When she repented and obeyed, the Lord completely transformed her husband and peace was restored.
Beloved, when Heaven’s doors seem to be shut on your life and on all your undertakings, make sure that it does not come from sin or from a forbidden thing that has entered your life. It is in prayer that God can reveal this to you. Be conscious that you have really disobeyed the Lord in some way, that you have distanced yourself from His will and that this is the source of the ordeal you are going through financially, professionally, family-wise, marriage-wise, health-wise, etc. You must be aware that this is the way to do it. Repent with all your heart, turn away from evil (Proverbs 28:13); atone, if atonement has to be made (as David did with the Gibeonites in 2 Samuel 21:1-14) and you will then see Heaven open again to your life to pour the rain of divine blessings upon you.
May God bless you Beloved
1 Peter 4:15
“But let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or as a [a]busybody in other people’s matters”.
1 Peter 3:17
“For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil..
“Therefore, behold, I will allure her, Will bring her into the wilderness, And speak comfort to her..
He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.
“..break off your sins by being righteous, and your iniquities by showing mercy to the poor. Perhaps there may be a lengthening of your prosperity..
” For has anyone said to God, ‘ I have borne chastening; I will offend no more; Teach me what I do not see; If I have done iniquity, I will do no more’?
