Hello Beloved,
Last week, I told you in my exhortation that it was important for you to be aware of the power of Jesus’ name and to have faith in that name that is above the situation you are living in, whatever its magnitude.
Are you having trouble paying your rent? You still don’t have a spouse or child despite getting older? Is the doctor’s diagnosis irreversible? Have you experienced a betrayal? Are you struggling with the high evangelism budget of the crusade you plan to organize? Are you still unemployed after submitting your applications to different companies? Don’t you know how to pay for your child’s education? Have you lost all your savings in a bad investment? The end of the year is approaching and you probably realize that a number of your prayer requests have not yet been answered!
Do not be grieved; the name of Jesus is above your situation. You have to believe that! It is not always easy to keep your faith intact in the many challenges you face. How can you keep your thoughts in Christ despite everything? How can we not give in to discouragement? I am inviting you to do an exercise that will help you control your thoughts and keep them focused on your Father.
“They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces were not ashamed”, the Bible tells you in Psalm 34:5. Whenever you feel discouraged, anxious and sad, you should immediately realize that you have turned your eyes away from Christ to focus on the magnitude of your problems. Then, reprogram your thoughts and turn your eyes to Christ, and behold His greatness. You will then see your sadness turn into joy, discouragement into hope, anguish into confidence. “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” the Bible tells you in 2 Corinthians 3:18.
Turn your heart and your gaze away from your problems and raise your eyes to Heaven where your heavenly Father is. Turn your eyes to Him, to His greatness, to His ability to answer your prayers and to deliver you from the situation you are going through. By contemplating the power of Jesus’ name, God’s endless love and His faithfulness to take care of you and relieve you of your burdens, your face will shine. The joy of the Lord will then be your strength and victory will be your portion.
May God bless you Beloved
