Your situation is for the Glory of God !

Your situation is for the Glory of God !

Hello [user:firstname | default:Beloved],

Have you come across situations or heard news that gave you the impression that your world just caved in? (Perhaps you were fired, or got a doctor’s diagnosis, or your proposal for a much-desired contract was rejected, school failure, or worse – the loss of a loved one.)

Does not the Bible tell us in Romans 8: 28, that all things work together for the good of those who love God? So, Beloved, if you love the Lord, know that God will use this situation that you are going through to glorify Himself. Your life is in His hands and nothing gets out of His control.

In John 11: 3-4, Jesus was told that his friend Lazarus was sick. When Jesus heard that, He said, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”As far as he was concerned, when confronted with the bad news he received, it was out of the question for him to let feelings of sadness or anxiety take over in his mind and heart. Even later on, when a messenger announced Lazarus’ death, he confessed with his mouth that Lazarus was asleep. We all know the rest of the story: Lazarus came back to life and in this way God glorified himself!

Joseph’s brothers felt guilty for having sold into slavery their brother a few years earlier, and making their father believe that he was dead. But Joseph considered that God used all that he experienced as tragedy, betrayal to glorify His name. He told them in Genesis 45:7-8 “God sent me before you to preserve a posterity for you in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. So now it was not you who sent me here, but God.” God indeed moved Joseph from the status of slave to that of Governor of Egypt.

In the same way, it was surely sad to see Stephen being stoned for having announced the Word of God. But the Bible reveals to us that in the presence of those who accused him, he saw the glory of God (Acts 7: 55-60).

So, beloved, when confronted to your situation, whatever the oppression of the evil one, don’t be depressed. You do not know how it’s going to happen, but know that God will use what you are going through to glorify his name. Confess this strongly, clearly and regularly, review the Word of God, revisit His promises and you will see the glory of God!

May God bless you [user:firstname | default:Beloved]
